So is Cameron Diaz ready to settle down with boyfriend Benji Madden? Well someone should probably ask her, because a photo of the actress wearing a 'certain type' of ring seems to be getting many ready to buy a hat for her big day, despite there being no confirmation from the actress herself.

The rumours of Diaz and Madden’s engagement came after Diaz was spotted wearing a ring described by E! as gold “with a thin band and sparkling stone set in a swirly setting on her ring finger” while attending the Hollywood Costume exhibition luncheon.

However there is also speculation that the pair could already be married, as Diaz was also wearing what looked like an eternity ring below the gold band. The pair are yet to comment on the rumours, but if these two aren't at least engaged we’ve got to question Cameron’s choice of ring placement.

The actress and the Good Charlotte guitarist were first reported to be dating in May and are said to now be living together. Madden’s brother Joel, who is also a member of Good Charlotte, is married to Nicole Ritchie and the couple have two children together.

In the past Diaz has been open about her feelings towards marriage and children, saying in 2012, "I thought I was going to be married and have two children by the time I was 21. I think I felt I had to model my life after my mother’s." Adding, “but then my career was starting to take off and there were still so many things I wanted to do.”

Diaz’s next movie, a modern remake of the musical Annie, hits theatres on December 19th.
