Celine Dion has reportedly changed the name of her new album just weeks after becoming embroiled in a public dispute with singer/songwriter Daniel Merriweather over the title track.
Dion has recorded a cover version of Merriweather's collaboration with Adele, Water And a Flame, and she also named her upcoming album after the song.
However, she faced a backlash from Merriweather, who claimed the Canadian star had failed to credit him for writing the track. In a series of posts on his Facebook.com page, he wrote, "This song has every ounce of my heartache and pain in it and she pretends as if she wrote it herself... She should've just done her homework before she decided to cover my song... name her album after it... and then publicly imply credit to the featured act on the song (Adele)."
The criticism was branded "hurtful" and "unfair" by Dion's representatives, and it has now emerged she has changed the title of her album.
Water And a Flame will be renamed Loved Me Back to Life after a song on the album written by Australian star Sia, according to Le Journal de Quebec.
Dion's husband/manager Rene Angelil tells the publication, "This is a song that came towards the end (of the recording process), while we were in Las Vegas (for Dion's residency). It was written by an artist called Sia, who has written for Rihanna. She loves Celine... It will be a big hit."
The album will be released in October (13).
