The Wachowskis latest sci-fi epic has been pushed back seven months and will now hit theatres on February 6th 2015.
Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum's debuting partnership on the big-screen will have to wait as the release date of the sci-fi epic, 'Jupiter Ascending,' has been postponed until 2015.
Originally scheduled to hit theatres on July 18th, Warner Bros. has decided to delay the premiere in order to have enough time to complete extensive special effects.

The Wachowski's latest flick will now be released on February 6th 2015.

As news of the delay broke, domestic distribution chief Dan Fellman cited that Andy and Lana Wachowski still need to complete shooting special effects on more than 2,000 shots in the film. "With the July release date, they were just not going to make it on time," he said, via Variety. "A lot of the issue for us was getting it ready for the international release, since the foreign territories need additional time."
Kunis plays the lead role of 'Jupiter Jones'
Along with Tatum and Kunis, 'Jupiter Ascending' stars Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Sean Bean. The plot follows two individuals from different planets whose lives intertwine in an action-packed whirlwind romantic futuristic thriller.

Tatum plays an intergalactic warrior called 'Caine' who is half-human-half wolf, and Kunis plays the title character 'Jupiter Jones', an unlucky Russian migrant toilet cleaner, whose DNA could change her life in an extraordinary when it is revealed she is destined for greatness.

Channing is sent from the current Queen of the Universe to kill Kunis as she may hold the power to overthrow the thrown, and her majesty doesn't want any competitor to be alive. However, when arriving to Earth 'Caine' decides to protect 'Jupiter' from the dangers awaiting to harm the possible future queen. The pair are forced to go on the run and try to avoid whatever is after 'Jupiter', throughout their journey she learns more about the importance of who she really is while growing found of her sworn protector.

Since the movie had a budget of approximately $150 million, it isn't a surprise that the filmmakers aren't risking releasing an unfinished production, after all the studio wants 'Jupiter Ascending' to be a box office hit and earn a profit.
