It's no secret that James Corden is in love with the theatre, having starred in productions of 'The History Boys' and 'One Man, Two Guvnors'. But it's musical theatre that really ignites his passion; he even had a role in Rob Marshall's 'Into the Woods' in 2014 and was recently announced to appear in the forthcoming film adaptation of 'Cats'.

As ‘Carpool Karaoke’ continues to grow in popularity with no signs of slow-down any time soon, the list of megastars who’ve participated contains one person notable by his absence – Kanye West. But his absence is nothing to do with his occasionally controversial views, according to James Corden, instead simply because he keeps cancelling.

‘The Late Late Show’ host was speaking to Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner on the chat show on Monday this week, during a segment called ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’, where guests must answer an awkward question or consume a disgusting food or drink item.

“We’ve tried,” Corden explained, saying that Yeezy’s last minute pull-out cost the show $45,000.

Finally, after 37 years, Andrew Lloyd Webber's beloved musical 'Cats' is getting a musical film, and the recently announced all-star cast is enough to get us very excited about it. The only thing that would make this better right now would be to learn that Lin-Manuel Miranda was joining - but there is hope yet.

Ever since the 2014 revival, there has been renewed interest in this fascinating production and the movie version is almost guaranteed to be a hit. 'Cats' is set to start shooting in November this year with an experienced cast that really couldn't get much better.

In what is arguably the best episode of Carpool Karaoke ever, Paul McCartney joins James Corden for a special 'Late Late Show' edition set in Liverpool. As well as singing some of the greatest Beatles hits ever, they visit some special places in the city made famous by the 60s band.

The pair kicked off the segment with 1965's 'Drive My Car', where Paul actually drives James' car, and they drove along Penny Lane listening to 'Penny Lane', surprising the proprietors of a barber shop and a florist and playing harmonica at a bus stop. They  also spotted the church of St. Barnabus where Paul used to sing in the choir, and where his brother Michael got married.

This week saw another episode of 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts' on 'The Late Late Show', and it saw a rare occasion where neither guest Cher nor host James Corden could answer any of the personal questions raised in the segment. However, Cher did demonstrate her contempt of Donald Trump beautifully by eating cow tongue.

The game started off with the 72-year-old iconic singer proclaiming 'I would rather rat out my mother than eat that' at the cow tongue that lay on the revolving table with other delicacies like scorpion and a 1000-year-old egg, as well as - since the episode was being shot in Britain - national dishes like stargazy pie, deep-fried Mars bar and haggis.

Fans may have loved to have seen Foo Fighters on Carpool Karaoke last year, but the ensuing controversy just wasn't worth it. Dave Grohl has just been forced to clarify what he meant by the experience being 'uncomfortable', after host James Corden sent him an angry text message.

Orlando Bloom used to have ''the biggest crush'' on Cate Blanchett when she played Galadriel in 'Lord of the Rings'.

The 41-year-old actor - who is dating pop star Katy Perry - portrayed elf warrior Legolas in Peter Jackson's fantasy adventure trilogy, and that's not where the fantasy ended for Bloom, as he admits to being attracted to Blanchett's heavenly elf alter-ego.

Appearing on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' - which is being broadcast from London this week - on Monday night (18.06.18) with Blanchett sat next to him, Bloom was asked for his first impression of his co-star, and he blushed: ''I can't think - I had such a crush. I had the biggest crush on you.''

In probably the most thrilling edition of Carpool Karaoke yet, Adam Levine joined James Corden on the 'Late Late Show' segment this week. They talked bad band names, raising 'Angelino' children and balancing acts - but also managed to dangerously conquer a race track and get pulled over by cops.

The pair sang Maroon 5 classics like 'Moves Like Jagger', 'This Love', 'She Will Be Loved' and 'Sugar', as well as the latest single 'Wait' from their 2017 album 'Red Pill Blues'. But the group weren't always going to be called Maroon 5 - indeed, their first proper name was the fairly terrible 'Kara's Flowers'.

James Corden has revealed that he almost made a howling faux-pas during the royal wedding ceremony last weekend, apparently nearly interrupting the church service.

Last Saturday (May 19th), the British actor and comedian was one of the many celebrities who attended the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. However, many on social media picked up Corden sitting through the service making a rather strange and unimpressed facial expression.

Resuming his normal duties back on ‘The Late Late Show’ on Monday (May 21st), Corden revealed what that was really all about.
