The Don't singer was delighted after winning the honour at the Q Awards in London on Monday (19Oct15), repeating his triumph in the same category last year (14).

Sheeran is currently on tour so he sent his thanks to fans via a special video message broadcast to guests at the ceremony in the U.K. capital's Grosvenor Hotel.

He said, "Thank you for the Best Solo Artist (award), second year running. I know it's fan-voted so thank you to the fans who will not be watching this video because they're not at the Grosvenor Hotel with you lot, drinking free booze."
