The cousin of rock icon Elvis Presley blames his ex-wife PRISCILLA for their daughter Lisa Marie's well-documented personal troubles.

According to DONNA PRESLEY, the NAKED GUN star's decision to move away from Elvis's native Memphis, Tennessee and their side of the family meant young Lisa Marie missed out on a normal childhood.

And Donna believes Priscilla's devotion to controversial religion Scientology further fuelled her daughter's troubles - which include broken marriages from Nicolas Cage and MICHAEL JACKSON - and a battle with drugs and alcohol.

Donna explains, "After Elvis died, Priscilla took Lisa Marie to California and raised her there, in Scientology, and she kind of pulled away from the rest of the family.

"I really believe that, had Lisa grown up with her father's family around, she would have greater balance in her life."

The Presley family have not seen Lisa Maria since Elvis's untimely death in 1977.
