At least for her boyfriend's sake, Emma has indicated she'd like a break from the public eye. She recently started dating 21 year-old Oxford student and rugby star Matt Janney and has said that she dislikes it when her lovers are thrust into the spotlight.

"I don't date people who are famous, and I don't think it's fair that, all of a sudden, intimate details of their personal life are public as a direct result of me. I wish I could protect them," she told Elle Australia.

She shared the lessons she has learned from her career so far, saying that she cares less about what people think of her these days: "I can take criticism on the chin a lot more. As a younger woman, that pressure got me down but I've made my peace with it. With airbrushing and digital manipulation, fashion can project an unobtainable image that's dangerously unhealthy."

Watson stars alongside Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman and Douglas Booth in Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic, which has opened in the US and UK. Based on the Genesis tale of the ark builder who saves his animals after receiving a message from God, Noah has stirred up a lot of controversy amongst religious figures yet had a storming opening weekend at the top of the box office.

Noah is released in cinemas now.
