Iggy Azalea has revealed that underwent surgery to get breast implants. The ‘Fancy’ rapper made the revelation in an interview for the April edition of Vogue magazine.

The Australian-born star decided that she “wasn’t into secret-keeping” when asked whether she would change anything about her body. “I did change something,” she replied forthrightly, “four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I'd thought about it my entire life.”

The reason for the augmentation was apparently because she was tired of having to sew padding into all of her costumes and wanting to wear lingerie without wiring, according the magazine. Before choosing what she wears on stage, she usually had to have “everything tailored” because she has “such a small waist.”

She also said that wanted to tell people about the operation because not to do so might negatively affect the body image of some her younger fans.

A large part of the interview focussed on body image, and Iggy described what it was like for her when she first arrived in the States. “People told me I should think about modelling,” she says. “So I went to a few agencies, but once they measured my body they didn’t like me anymore.”

This had a predictable effect on her confidence. “I was looking in the mirror a little differently,” she admitted, adding that she was advised to lose weight and get a nose job. But throughout her musical career, she’s never caved into some of the trolling she’s received, choosing to quit her social media accounts rather than listen to criticism.

Back in January, Iggy handed over the running of her Twitter account to her management team after receiving a torrent of criticism about her physique when she photographed vacationing in Hawaii with her boyfriend. Last month, she did the same with her Instagram account, and in a recent interview she hinted that she may never go back to social media.
