Jamie Dornan will quit showbiz if 'Fifty Shades of Grey' fails to live up to the hype.

The 32-year-old actor - who portrays kinky businessman Christian Grey in the long-awaited movie - claims he will retreat from the spotlight and live in the wilderness with wife Amelia Warner and their 10-month-old daughter if the film is a flop.

He said: ''If it's a nightmare, we'll move to Outer Mongolia or something and live in a yurt.

''I've got a lot of s**t together, finally, by age 32. I'm glad I have that all in place when whatever happens, happens.''

And despite his raunchy role in the movie, the hunky actor insists he never had much luck with girls when he was younger.

He told the new issue of Britain's Vogue magazine: ''I was very shy. I'm not saying that was the only reason I didn't do well with them but I just didn't. I never had any reason to think I looked different.''

Before achieving acting success, Jamie was a model but hated working in the ''silly'' fashion industry.

He admitted: ''The actual thing of having to stand looking all moody and looking off in the distance and, 'Let's just do a couple with a finger round your mouth' - I'd rather be playing football.''
