Appearing at San Diego Comic-Con with her fellow Hunger Games stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence suggested she might finally be famous enough not to experience any more body image criticisms from Hollywood.

She said, "I had a conversation with somebody about the struggles with weight in the industry - I know that's something I talk non-stop about. And they were saying, 'All of the main movie stars aren't very underweight.' I said, 'Yeah, because once you get to a certain place, people will hire you.

"They just want you to be in the movie, so they don't care.'"

The Oscar winner, who has previously spoken out about being told to lose weight for her roles, added, "It's more about the struggle for actors and actresses who have not made it to a certain place, and there's a lot of pressure."

Asked whether she thought she would continue to get robust roles after the conclusion of the Hunger Games series, Lawrence said she certainly hoped so, TIME reports. That was after her fellow castmates joked that at 24, Lawrence was an old lady by Hollywood standards.

The movie game may be a fickle industry, with famous names in favour one day and out the next, but Lawrence did point out that she thinks the situation has improved for female stars.

"I would hope that there are more opportunities for women," she said.

Elsewhere, Lawrence may well have been one of the most in-demand stars at Comic-Con, but even she got a little starstruck when she bumped into Bill Murray at the event. She will next be seen kicking butt as Katniss Everdeen in the conclusion of the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay - Part 2, in cinemas on November 20.
