Taking a break from filming Hunger Game’s third and fourth instalment, Jennifer Lawrence has given an in-depth interview to Marie Claire magazine and she’s got plenty of things to get straight. She doesn’t want to be 'just a GIF', that Oscar’s fall was real, oh and Nicholas Hoult has a beautiful face. As always with J-Law, nothing is off limits here.

So, what’s in Jennifer’s handbag?

What does an Academy Award winning actress carry in her handbag? Sadly not her Oscar (it probably wouldn’t fit), but J-Law’s Tom Ford baggage does contain “an informational sheet that came with her birth control; a computer charger; a bottle of Chloé perfume” and some lip balm. The coolest part, the perfume was custom monogramed by her friend with, ‘Katpiss Neverclean’, her messy nickname.

What will Mystique be like this time around?

Jennifer promises that in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Mystique will be a lot less “wimpy”. But how much does she have in common with her shape shifting character? Not a lot, other that usual teenaged feelings of wishing to be someone else. Oh but  J-Law definitely does understand what it’s like to have a crush on Nicholas Hoult.

On her famous boyfriend…

Speaking of Nicholas, Jennifer usually isn't one to talk about her high profile relationship, but she does let a few details slip here. First she describes Nicholas as having “a beautiful face”, but says really what she looks for in a boyfriend is humour and intelligence, adding “I love a unique mind. Somebody who's his own person.”. It’s also pretty hard for the couple to maintain a long-distance relationship especially with their busy schedules. But these two seem to have it figured out thanks to their golden rule, "When we're busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other”, she says. At their age, Jennifer sees the importance of them both being able to have their own lives and still knowing they have each other.

J-Law does not want to “constantly be a GIF”

So what about all of Jennifer’s infamous red carpet mishaps? Well that Oscar’s arrival fall was definitely for real, no matter what Jared Leto thinks, but still Jennifer can see why some would be skeptical. “On the inside I was like, 'You're f-ed. They're totally going to think this is an act.’’ she said, adding “But trust me, if I was going to plan it, I would have done it at the Golden Globes or the SAGs. I would have never done it at two Oscars in a row.”

Coping with fame is hard

Jennifer’s struggle with anxiety since her teens and fame hasn't helped, but she’s getting better with it. She now knows that all she can do is her best and try and be herself, saying “You reach that point of anxiety that you finally just go, 'It's out of my hands.’’ But still, what she really needs now is rest, and once she's finished with Mockingjay Jennifer wants a years worth of rest, which luckily for us might only be "a couple of months."

Whilst some may be saying that a J-Law backlash is coming, we’ve got to ask why? As she’s proven again, Jennifer is funny, talented and thoroughly uninhibited and we still love her as much as ever!
