After a tough week, Jennifer Lawrence will be pleased to hear that everyone's talking about the the new Hunger Games posters.
After a tough week for Jennifer Lawrence, it's probably the right time to deflect attention and remind everyone that she has a very, very big movie on the horizon. That's exactly what Lionsgate have done, released a new poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 - which hits on November 21, 2014.
The dark, brooding poster sees Lawrence as Katniss, with her back to camera and long braid trailing down her back. She's clearly ready for the fight, wearing some sort of leather armour not unlike the Caped Crusader's and carrying a quiver of arrows.
It's the latest in a series of new posters spotlighting the "rebel warriors" featured in the final two parts of the franchise. Another beautifully bleak set of posters feature Woody Harrelson's Haymitch, Philip Seymour Hoffman's Plutarch and Elizabeth Banks' Effie.

Last month, fans were treated to a teaser trailer of the forthcoming movie, showing Katniss' rise to become a symbol of a rebellion against President Snow. Most notably, the late Hoffman featured prominently. We already know that Lionsgate have not re-cast the part and will use the scenes the actor filmed before his death.

A Lionsgate executive told the Hollywood Reporter, "We're all extraordinarily sad. But as it relates to production, it's going to have no impact. Obviously, we're going to have a couple of work-around issues but the movie will be creatively whole."
"His performances in both [remaining] movies will be up to the best of his craft. We feel it will be a good tribute to him."

The Hunger Games movies, based on Suzanne Collins' bestselling novels, has propelled Lawrence to global stardom despite initial reservations about her suitability for the role. The last movie, Catching Fire, grossed over $854 million worldwide while the first movie took almost $700 million.
The final movie in the Hunger Games franchise - Mockingjay Part 2 - will be released in November 2015.
