The Avengers star Jeremy Renner is now a father!

The big event happened on Thursday and Renner is now the proud dad of a baby girl. Renner and model Sonni Pacheco named their little bundle of joy Ava Berlin Renner. "They are beyond thrilled," his spokesperson said, adding that, "mother and daughter are doing great."

According to Us Weekly, Pacheco is Renner’s ex. Sources are unclear as to whether or not the pair are still together.  Apparently she is a 22-year-old Canadian model.

A source for the magazine was quoted as saying: "They used to date but it wasn't serious," adding he was "being ultra-secretive about it, but she has been going on about her life and not hiding it." Good for her then. It would probably have been pretty difficult to hide anyway, especially towards the later months.

Along with assuming his fatherly duties, Renner looks to have quite a busy 2013 ahead of him. He is rumored to appear in the next installment of Mission: Impossible, as well as reprise his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers 2, due for release in 2014. It’ll be tough to balance all that with the responsibilities that come along with a new baby.
