The Help star Jessica Chastain has branded her Cannes Film Festival a "baptism of fire" after she walked the red carpet holding hands with Hollywood hotshots Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.
The flame-haired actress appeared in The Tree of Life opposite the two Tinseltown heavyweights, and to promote the movie, she jetted to France for the famous film festival in May (11).
And Chastain insists her first ever appearance at the revered event was an unforgettable one, thanks to her celebrity cohorts and the late night parties.
She tells Britain's You magazine, "I had Brad Pitt holding one hand and Sean Penn holding the other. It was surreal. It was my first time in Cannes and like a baptism of fire - nerve-racking but also fun and exciting, and I'll never forget it.
"I was with my best friend and we went to a fabulous party and stayed until 5.30 in the morning. Then I had to be up at 8am for a photocall and you think, 'How long can I last?' But I wasn't tired at all - I guess the adrenaline kept me going."
