Justin Bieber was booed at a basketball game on Sunday (11.05.14).

The troubled pop star was left humiliated after the entire crowd at Staples Center in Los Angeles heckled him as he and mother Pattie Mallette tried to enjoy a game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A source told E! News: ''The entire placed booed him when Staples Center cameras put him on the jumbotron.''

The 20-year-old star and his mother, who were celebrating the US version of Mother's Day, were sat courtside at the game and tried not to let the booing distract their bonding session.

The pair posed for a selfie, which Justin posted on his Twitter account.

The picture shows Pattie, 38, holding a hotdog as Justin's arms are outstretched, holding the camera.

He captioned the snap: ''Took my mom to the game.. She's more focussed on the food. (sic)''

Earlier in the day, Justin shared a touching Mother's Day message dedicated to his dearest mother on Twitter.

He wrote: ''Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mom @pattiemallette. I love u with all my heart!! #HonorThyMother #HappyMothersDay. (sic)''
