Runner Runner may have been awful, but don’t you dare go calling it awful in your stupid trade magazines. What the hell do you think you’re doing running reviews of a movie? Justin Timberlake thinks you’re all d*ckheads.

Justin TimberlakeGQ interviewed Timberlake, who attended their Man of The Year Awards

“The movie didn't do well at the box office, so I should quit?” he rhetorically asked whoever was interviewing him for GQ. “Hold on a second,” he continued, “If I was somebody else, you wouldn't have said that.”

Timberlake is reeling from his first bad week in a number of years. His comeback was well received, and he was the golden boy once again. But making a bad film and following up your comeback album with something not as good seems to have turned people against him.

“I have the number one album this week, and I shouldn't have released it? Come on, man. You sound like a d*ckhead.... It just shocked me because, like, you're trade magazines. None of your opinions count. And by the way, none of you can do it,” he said, rather angrily.

Runner Runner wasn’t just critically panned; it flopped at the box office too, and failure on both of those fronts can really hurt. Just ask Jojnny Depp – he wasn’t even mentioned in the love/hate square developing between George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Little tangent there.

Justin Timberlake Kiss FMTimberlake has called the critics out for being unfair

Justin’s film made $60m worldwide, with a production budget of half that and a marketing budget probably making up the other half. It’s difficult to see how Fox made any money out of it, which was nearly unimaginable considering Timberlake – at the height of his powers – and Affleck – the newly minted Batman – were at the core of it.

But fail it did, and it doesn’t look as though Timberlake’s managing to handle the paradigm of criticism very well. Take the rough with the smooth, JT. And stop calling the critics d*ckheads.
