Kanye West has announced he will take a vow of silence in the new year and not "talk sh*t" for "six months, at least."
Kanye West's New Year's resolution could prove to be his biggest challenge yet.
The 36 year-old stated during in his last 'Yeezus' concert in Toronto on December 23rd that he will take a vow of silence "for at least, six months."
West's rant, which was captured in this amateur YouTube video, was almost 30 minutes long and he stated, "Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now."
"This might be the last time y'all hear me talk s--t for a long time," he continued.
"This might be the last time y'all hear me talk s--t for a long time, might be another like six months. At least. You're just gonna have to run back the interviews and s--t if you wanna hear some realness!"
Kim Kardashians fiancé didn't stop there as he also told the sold-out arena, "I'm gonna tell y'all right now: All of the ideas, the things they call rants...save those tapes and everything, because I've decided to completely focus everything in 2014 on all the new ideas, all the creative outlets."
West brought up his controversial split from the huge fashion brand Nike, who refuse to pay him royalties because he is not an athlete. The rapper is now with rival company Adidas.
"I'm not going to ever bring up Nike again, and the only way I'll bring them up is in a positive light," Yeezy said.
Earlier this month Kanye blasted the Grammy Awards for only receiving two nominations and he addressed this issue once again.
"The Grammys, they nominated me with two Grammys," he told the audience. "Yeezus, the most highly reviewed album of the motherf--king year!"
"You don't run s--t!" West added. "You rent the Staples Center for one night and give some goddamn awards away! F--k you."
"F--k you for Christmas," he repeated over and over again.
However he did finish by stating he will "never bring up the Grammys again in a negative light."
"Because I actually appreciate the 21 Grammys that I did win and I'm not gonna be the dude who has all the opportunities in the world and just focuses on the negative and complains about it," he said.
Will this resolution last and if so, how long for?
