The 'Yeezus' hit maker will face two years of probation, community service and be forced to attend anger management sessions.
Kanye West is the latest high-profile celebrity to be slapped with community service.
The 36 year-old pleaded no contest on Monday (March 17th) to a misdemeanour battery charge on a paparazzo stemming from last July (2013).
West did not attend the court hearing, but his attorney entered the special plea, in which he still maintains his innocence, on the music mogul's behalf.
The 'Bound 2' rapper was sentenced to two years of probation, 250 hours' worth of community service and has to attend 24 anger management sessions, the Associated Press notes.
West was charged with counts of battery and grand theft after getting into an altercation with photographer Daniel Ramos at LAX airport in July last year.
Mr. Ramos was in attendance at the hearing on Monday.
In November, West pleaded not guilty to all charges but didn't attend the hearing, Ramos' attorney didn't take kindly to this and commented on the absentee star outside court.
Gloria Allred, the attorney representing Ramos, spoke to the awaiting press and stated:
"It's just interesting to me that one of the most visible people in the entire world, Kanye West, who seems to love the press when it comes to promoting his music, when it comes to promoting his relationships especially family relationships doesn't want to come to court."
Ramos claimed West punched him in an unprovoked attack and attempted to destroy his camera during their altercation, the photographer is currently suing him.
"If I did what he did to me, I'd be behind bars," he said to reporters outside the courthouse. "I was doing my job and he broke the law."
The 'Yeezus' hit maker has already had to deal with a civil settlement this year, in January West was accused of assaulting a man at a Beverly Hills medical center. Kanye allegedly punched an 18 year-old male in the face for bad mouthing his fiancé Kim Kardashian and using the N word.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office decided not to charge West due to conflicting witness statements.
