Oh, the struggles of celebrity parenthood!
After all the buzz around the royal baby, several new album releases and of course, plenty of movies to keep us entertained throughout summer, the news of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby just doesn’t seem all that exciting anymore. This is why it comes as no surprise that K&K have opted out of selling the first official shots of baby North West to any tabloids.
Meanwhile, Kim has minimized her post-pregnancy public appearances.
Of course, it could be just that the new parents are hesitant to put a price on their little one’s mug. According to TMZ, the high profile couple considered the option of selling the photos and donating the profits to a charity, but in the end decided against it. Old news or not, apparently the photos could fetch a hefty sum for the already wealthy parents - $3 million, as the rumor goes. TMZ claims that the new parents have already rejected that kind of offer.
The new parents do have plenty of options.
Of course, it’s not like Kim and Kanye, who are both millionaires in their own right – Kanye from his musical career and Kim from her reality TV empire – really need the cash anyway. They have plenty to get along, meaning that the couple now has two options for the reveal of North West – either they sell the photos to Vanity Fair and put the money into, say, North’s college fund, or they go the slightly more intimate route of posting a DIY shot on Instagram. Of course, there is the outrageous third option of not having a grand, public reveal at all, but we doubt that was ever even considered.
After a few months of album promotion, Kanye West has given over to the family man lifestyle.
