Kate Hudson believes her romance with Nick Jonas was written in the stars.

The 36-year-old actress recently started casually dating the 23-year-old singer and feels ''more in-tune with him'' than any of her ex-partners, including Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

A source said: ''Kate's astrologer told her that Nick is the one. Being Virgo, Nick is reserved, sensitive and artistic, which at first made her think he was boring. But after talking to her astrologer, Kate realised that it works with her personality because Aries are [more] controlling.''

The 'Almost Famous' star isn't concerned about their 13-year age gap and is glad her astrologer approves of the romance.

The insider added to InTouch Weekly magazine: ''At parties, she is the loud talker and entertainer, while Nick sits back and lets her do her thing. Kate's more in-tune with him than she ever thought she'd be.

''She's so happy to have finally found someone her astrologer approves of.''

Kate ended her engagement to Matt last year and recently admitted they ''had different visions of how [they] wanted to live [their] lives''.

She explained: ''Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it. If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on because we had different visions of how we wanted to live our lives.''
