Katie Price has announced that she’s taking a break from ‘Loose Women’ in order to deal with marriage problems with her husband Kieran Hayler.

The 38 year old model and entrepreneur appeared on the ITV magazine show on Friday (October 7th) said that conducting her recent book tour, for her new autobiography ‘Reborn’, in which she recounts incidences of her husband’s infidelity, had forced her to re-live those experiences.

“The past two weeks I've been on my book tour and it's opened up some wounds,” she said. “It's been awful. I thought I'd dealt with it. I was numb when it all happened. I'm quite good at putting up a defence. But it's been torture.”

During a family holiday to the Cape Verde Islands in 2014, Price discovered that Hayler, her 29 year old husband and father of her youngest two children Jett and Bunny, had been conducting an affair behind her back with her best friend, Jane Pountney, for seven months.

She has previously said that she still has never forgiven Hayler for it, but she has disowned Pountney and vowed to work through their problems together.

“This has been so difficult. I haven't got any tears to cry. My heart is shattered, it's broken. We've come two and a half years and Kieran is having to re-live it. We are going to see a therapist to reassure us we're fine,” she added.

“It's a relief to me to admit I'm not as strong as people think. Enough is enough. I have to let my barriers down. I'm going away with Kieran on a belated honeymoon and to spend time with the kids. I want to help Kieran through this as well. It's been tough on us both. It's been turbulent.”
