With a week-old baby North West to care for, apparently new parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are now planning the next massive step in their relationship: a wedding. The celeb couple haven't announced or denied anything themselves but a source speaking to The Sun said that West had given his baby-mama a rather unique ring as a "push present"; which is a gift a father gives to the mother of his child in the delivery room either before or after childbirth.

Apparently the ring in question is a "black and tiger-stripe diamond ring worth $500,000" (£325,267), as rapper West eschews tradition in favour of the decadent purchase. The source explained: "[Kanye] has spent half a million on a ring as a push present and had it designed months ago in preparation," adding, "he's even more in love with her now than ever and they can't wait to get married."

The whopping price tag of the ring comes after the giant hospital bill that West paid to keep Kim at LA's Cedars-Sinai - Hollywood's most glamorous hospital - where West "wasted no money in making sure Kim had the best of everything while she's in hospital."

You can say that again.

The postnatal pair rented three deluxe suites - each costing in excess of £2,500 per night - which all came decked out with leather sofas, marble bathrooms, huge flatscreen TVs, and dining rooms with personal chefs on-call 24/7. Kim also helped assuage the pregnancy stress by taking full advantage of the beauty salon's services, and had a pregnancy coach - a doula - to support her at a cost of £3,000 a day. You could never accuse Kanye West of being understated! Just imagine what kind of wedding bash they'd throw...

The couple and baby North have since left hospital for a secret location to start the new chapter of their life in (relative) privacy.
