Kim Kardashian may have lost a friend in Katie Couric, but she's found consolation in Instagram, founder Kevin Systrom.

Kim Kardashian has befriended Instagram CEO and co-founder Systrom and is more than happy to let everyone know. The 32-year-old photographed herself with Systrom and posted it on Instagram last night (Saturday 18th). With the picture she added "chilling with the creator of Instagram @kevin."

Kardashian has been avoiding the cameras since the birth of her daughter North West on June 15th. She was finally photographed, along with her boyfriend Kanye West and her daughter, in Los Angeles last Wednesday (14th August). It seemed the couple were heading to the doctor's for a check-up. North West was in her car seat but hidden under blankets. 

Meanwhile, Kardashian has been losing friends elsewhere. Journalist Katie Couric, interviewed by In Touch, declared it's "mostly teenage girls that are interested" in Kardashian and her life. Kardashian was more than happy to respond, posting a photograph on Instagram of the baby gift Couric sent her. She added a comment to the post implying Couric was two-faced. The comment reads: "I hate fake media friends. May I humbly suggest you not send gifts then talk sh*t."

Fans of the celebrity couple are eagerly awaiting pictures of North West. Kardashian and West seem unwilling to publish any, even when certain publications have offered up to $3 million for photographs of the two-month-old. So, will Kardashian and West finally sell, for the right, price? Or will the couple choose to post photographs of their new born on social media? In honour of Kardashian's new friend, maybe on Instagram?
