Kim Kardashian will become Kim Kardashian West when she finally ties the knot with fiance Kanye West, the reality star told E! News on the red carpet of her birthday bash at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas. She explained before her birthday bash last week that she'll be taking a leaf out of her sister Khloe's book - who became Khloe Kardashian Odom following her marriage to Lamar Odom - and will adopt a double-barrel surname.

At the birthday bash in Vegas, Kim also discussed Kanye's extravagant proposal and showed off her sparkling 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring. She recalled the emotional moment when Kanye got down on one knee at the AT&T Arena in San Francisco, where he proposed to her in front of family and friends. As elaborate as the whole thing was, Kim also said that she had no idea what was happening, insisting that as far as she was concerned at the time, she was only going to San Fran for a pre-birthday bash.

"I cried afterwards. I was shaking. And when you're like, Is this really happening? But you're just shaking…I honestly had no idea, none whatsoever," Kim revealed. "I knew we were going to San Francisco for my birthday, because he had a show there the next night. So I thought it was just a birthday dinner."

She went on, "My eyes were closed and then I got up and I still the whole time I didn't think it was a proposal. I thought it was dinner on the baseball field and we had a nice orchestra. I still didn't get it…when he got on his knee, I kind of figured out what was going on."

The 33-year-old reality star went on to discuss how she and Kanye have hardly had chance to sit down since the proposal, admitting that the pair haven't even begun to discuss wedding plans yet. She continued, "As far as wedding stuff, we haven't even talked about anything—it's been such a whirlwind. We need like a moment to relax and figure it all out. I'm going to leave this up to him. Whatever he wants."
