A top skin doctor has applauded Kim Kardashian's decision to go public with her psoriasis - because it will help millions suffering from the itchy complaint.
The socialite has chosen to speak out about her dry skin issue and has even included a trip to a specialist in her reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians - and now she is testing a new beauty regime ahead of her wedding this month (Aug11) in a bid to keep the condition under control on her big day.
And San Francisco, California celebrity skin expert Dr. Vail Reese, who runs website skinema.com, tells WENN, "This is a big boost for the millions that suffer from psoriasis.
"Kardashian's newsflash shows that even glamorous, high-profile celebrities can be affected by this non-contagious form of inflammation."
And Reese, who is not Kardashian's doctor, has offered other psoriasis sufferers advice about the condition, adding, "Moisturisers can work alongside prescription creams to maintain clearance and heal without scarring."
