Pop superstar Lady GaGa has given rising rapper Kendrick Lamar a big boost by collaborating with him for his upcoming debut album.
The Poker Face hitmaker has been vocal about her love for the hip-hop star recently, and they hung out together backstage at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois last month (Jul12).
The unlikely pair has since found time to hit the recording studio and the result is their new song Partynauseous, which is set to be included on Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city release in October (12).
Announcing the news on Twitter.com on Wednesday (15Aug12), Gaga writes, "I am so excited to announce that a record I've been working on has now become a collaboration with @KendrickLamar for His Album."
Describing the inspiration behind the track, she adds, "I wrote Partynauseous about Jakarta, and my relationship with that country. Wishing I could 'get high with the enemy' and make peace.
"Once @kendricklamar + I started talking about life + his forward thinking views about love + hip hop, the song became something more."
Partynauseous is expected to be Lamar's next single from his new album.
