Lady GaGa has reached out to her fans in Indonesia following the cancellation of her upcoming concert in Jakarta, insisting she feels "devastated" and will "try to put together something special" for her followers in the country.
The pop superstar was due to perform in the capital on 3 June (12), but local police recommended the singer be denied a performance permit due to pressure from conservative campaigners opposed to her saucy onstage antics.
The Poker Face hitmaker offered to tone down her act or even perform solo to avoid causing offence, but it was revealed on Sunday (27May12) she had axed the show after protesters threatened to intercept her upon arrival in Indonesia.
Gaga is upset about the cancellation and has reached out to her fans in the country in a post on her Facebook.com page.
She writes, "We had to cancel the concert in Indonesia. I'm so very sorry to the fans & just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me. I will try to put together something special for you. My love for Indonesia has only grown. Gaga sends love to Jakarta and all its people."
