Lady GaGa is back in a big way! It feels like eons that fans have been waiting for new music from Mother Monster and, well, they’ll have to wait a little longer, but there’s a title at least. According to MTV, the singer’s cryptic post on her own Little Monsters social network, reveals the title of Gaga’s first release off Artpop.
All well and good, but we'd like to hear the song soon.
While Gaga didn’t announce that this was a title straight up (we’d never expect anything so ordinary out of her anyway,) the accompanying caption seems to point to the idea. The photo, released by Gaga’s makeup artist Tara Savelo, shows her putting the final touches on a cover that is mostly concealed, except for the bold red letters on top, spelling out APPLAUSE . Certainly looks like a single teaser from where we’re standing.
Applause? Isn't that like fishing for compliments?
And, of course, there’s the caption, which spells simply “26 days” – obviously a countdown to the release date of the first Artpop single, which was announced recently. It’s August 19th, for those who don’t feel like doing the math, by the way. And of course, the 27-year-old singer is due to release Artpop in its entirety on November 11th later this year. Of course, Lady Gaga fans can hardly wait, but that’s what promotional appearances are for, after all. Gaga’s most recent one was definitely a shocker, as Gaga appeared in V Magazine, wearing nothing but her flowing blond locks. Still, considering that this is Lady Gaga we’re talking about, it’s not easy to shock her fans these days.
