Lamar Odom Is Reportedly Showing Signs Of Improvement

Lamar Odom is reportedly showing signs of improvement, sources speaking to multiple media outlets claim. He is conscious and has allegedly communicated with his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, who is by his side.

Early signs of improvement were reported on Friday morning (16th October). TMZ learned Odom’s heart function had improved but access to his room was still being restricted and only a few visitors were allowed access. Sources speaking to the same website claimed Odom was making involuntary movements, including opening his eyes, which had been taken as communication.

However, other sources claim Odom is communicating verbally and has been conscious at times. One source, speaking to E!, claims Odom opened his eyes on Friday and said ‘Hey Baby’ to Kardashian. He reportedly gave her the thumbs up at the same time. The same source also claimed Odom is no longer using a breathing tube.

Odom was hospitalised on Tuesday (13th October) after being found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada. He was helicoptered to a hospital in Las Vegas and his condition was reportedly considered critical by doctors. It is uncertain what caused Odom’s condition although it has been reported that he was allegedly using cocaine and an herbal substitute for Viagra over the weekend.

Kardashian flew out to Vegas after learning of Odom’s hospitalisation. Her mother, Kris Jenner, is also with her as are Odom’s father, his two children and their mother.

According to reports, Kardashian is making Odom’s medical decisions on his behalf but she had been warned that Odom may show signs of cognitive impairment as a result of the strokes he suffered whilst in hospital.

Odom and Kardashian married in 2009 but announced their separation in December 2013. They signed the final divorce paperwork this summer but a judge has yet to sign off on it. Members of Kardashian’s family have publically shown their support for Odom. Kris Jenner, Rob Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have all posted images of Odom on Instagram, requesting their fans to ‘Pray for Lamar’.
