Lea Michele's new year's resolution is to keep challenging herself.

The 'Glee' actress is keen to constantly try new projects in the coming year because she is desperate to eventually portray some of her idols on the big screen.

She said: "My new year's resolutions are to keep working, doing things that are challenging, exciting and enjoyable.

"Maybe that will get me closer to my idols, Natalie Wood or Barbra Streisand."

Lea plans to spend this New Year's Eve (31.12.11) in the same way she does every year - in New York with her family.

She explained: "Every year my family and I go to Central Park on New Year's Eve. There's a band and fireworks and it's a big tradition for us."
