Assets From Rapper Lil Wayne's Florida Mansion Were Seized By Officials On Tuesday (03nov15) As Part Of A Legal Battle Over Unpaid Private Jet Fees.
The Lollipop star was sued by bosses of Signature Group, a company that leases private jets to celebrities, last year (14), amid claims he had not paid any bills during the first two years of his three-year deal.
Wayne insisted he never signed a contract with the group, but in September (15), the court disagreed and ruled in favour of Signature, ordering the rapper to pay $1 million (£625,000) in the settlement.
However, Wayne allegedly refused to pay the bill, and editors at TMZ.com reported that the figure ballooned to $1.8 million (£1.1 million), with an added $200,000 (£125,000) in legal fees.
As a result, police officers and civil processors in Miami Beach obtained a warrant allowing them to raid the rapper's home to seize the star's belongings.
Reports suggest Wayne was not at home at the time, but video footage shows officials loading various pieces of his property from the house into a large truck.
Editors at TMZ report they obtained extremely expensive pieces from Wayne's art collection, which is reportedly worth up to $30 million (£18.8 million).
This is not the first time Wayne has had a visit from police to his Miami Beach estate - in March (15), cops swarmed the house after receiving a hoax call about a shooting at the property.
