Lily Allen returns to the Official UK Singles Chart No.1 spot with her cover of Keane's 'Somewhere We Only Know'.

After reaching the charts two weeks ago, the 27 year-old was knocked off the top spot last Sunday by Calvin Harris Alesso and Hurts' 'Under Control', but reclaims the top spot this week, reports the Official Charts Company.

The track, which is tipped to be this year's Christmas No.1, features in department store John Lewis' 'Bear And Hare' festive TV commercial.

Lily hasn't been short of competition as One Direction's hit 'Story Of My Life' were fighting for the top position all week, but in the end 'Somewhere Only We Know' won by selling 6,000 more copies.

The 1D boys therefore all in at No.2 and closely behind is Bastille, jumping two places, to No.3.

Last week's top finisher, Calvin Harris' 'Under Control' drops to the 4th spot and rounding off the top 5 is Gary Barlow's 'Let Me Go'.

Over in the Official UK Album Charts, One Direction are reigning at No.1 with their latest studio set 'Midnight Memories'. Former Take That band mates switched places as Robbie Williams' 'Swing Both Ways' rises to No.2 and Gary Barlow's 'Since I last Saw You' falls in 3rd.

Olly Murs remains in 4th place with 'Right Place Right Time' and finishing off the top 5 is Il Divo's new entry 'A Musical Affair'.
