TJ Jackson, 37, was placed in charge of Prince, Paris and Blanket in July, 2012, a few years after Michael's death in 2009, but he did not hesitate to take the kids in after his mum was killed in 1994.

Delores 'Dee Dee' Martes, who was married to Michael's brother Tito, was found dead at her Los Angeles home, and as a result, Michael helped raise TJ and his two brothers shortly after.

"Being guardian to my uncle Michael's kids takes a lot of time, and it's something that I put a lot of effort into and take a lot of pride in," TJ tells Entertainment Tonight. "For me, I just want to do well for my uncle, and he was such an important person for me when I lost my mother as a 16 year old that I'm just trying to repay him."

TJ, along with his siblings Taj and Taryll are the subject of a new U.S. reality series called The Jacksons: Next Generation, which will also feature Michael's three children.
