Oasis - live at Trafford Cricket Ground
Review of Oasis live at Trafford Cricket Ground in 2002
Oasis made it's return to home turf in Manchester last Saturday ( september 14th ) at the Trafford Cricket Ground, the first of two massive out door shows. As we approched the concert you could tell the gallagher brothers were back home, from the gangs of true manchester people swarming the streets singing , shouting and swaying drunkenly with their can of carling in one hand and a fag in the other! Finally; when we got into the cricket ground after scramberlin' over empty cans of larger which littered the streets the atmosphere was about just as coarse.
Support came from Richard Ashcroft, The Electric Soft Parade and The Soundtrack Of Our Lives. Ashcroft debuted tracks from his forthcoming album Human Condition's , including new single ' Check the meaning' his set went down well with the crowd, especially when he ended with one of his most popular songs, bitter sweet symphany'.Richard left stage and definitely set the crowd up for oasis. 'Oasis' they came, we saw and then they went, Well done boys glad to see you back, don't leave it so long next time!
