Ozzy Osbourne's wife SHARON found it impossible to mourn her father's death in 2007 - because they endured a turbulent relationship for decades.
The rock matriarch had a troubled union with her dad, Don Arden, who previously managed Ozzy's band Black Sabbath, and she fell out with him after he fired the singer from the group in 1979.
Sharon didn't speak to her father for 20 years and refused to let him meet his grandchildren - Aimee, Kelly and Jack - for more than two decades.
The pair began to repair their relationship in 2001, but in 2004 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and passed away three years later.
Osbourne found it impossible to cry after the tragedy - but was thankful they mended their fractured relationship before Arden died.
She says, "I believe I did the right thing by him, in the end. He gave me a lot, really. He gave me a great education in life and the work ethic I have now.
"When he died, I had him sent back to the U.K. to be buried and I sat with his body in the mortuary... but I didn't cry - I just couldn't, because I had cried over years and years."
