Pop star Pink battles feelings of self-doubt every time she records new music, and constantly worries she has lost her ability to sing.
The So What hitmaker has topped charts around the world and won a slew of awards, including three Grammys, but admits she is still plagued by insecurity before stepping into the studio.
She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "Every album, I'm worried that I'm a dork and a fraud - what if I can't sing anymore? Then I stop thinking and start playing guitar, and I realise that it's OK to suck, and move forward. Then it clicks and I'm like, 'I'm f**king awesome!'"
Pink, who became a mum last year (11), also admits her upcoming sixth studio album, The Truth About Love, features her trademark angry anthems, despite the singer feeling happier than ever.
She adds, "It's very easy for me to tap into 'go f**k yourself'. Maybe that's the only way I feel powerful. I'm in the best place I've ever been in my life, and I'd say it's 80 per cent happiness and 20 per cent sheer confusion and fear that I'll f**k it up somehow. I'm consumed by my emotions."
