Kate, who is pregnant with their second child, will remain in New York and visit a child development centre along with the Mayor's wife, Chirlane McCray. Later that day Kate will attend a lunch celebrating the British arts community in New York.
McCray's husband, Bill de Blasio, is certainly excited about the Royal visit. Speaking to the NY Times, de Blasio said: "From everything I've seen, they seem like very good and charitable people. I'd enjoy meeting and see how we can work together."
The couple will round off their visit by attending a University of St. Andrews dinner held at the Metropolitan Museum. Both attended and met at the University which is celebrating its 600th Anniversary this year.
William and Kate are expecting their second child together, due in April next year. Their son George, now nearly 16 months old, will not be accompanying his parents on their official visit to New York.
