'Exodus: Gods and Kings' director Ridley Scott and star Christian Bale talk about the significance of Moses and the thoughts behind the new crafting of the Biblical story in an interview for the movie, which tells the story of this religious figure's rise to power and his heroic achievements along the way.
Bale admits that playing Moses became more of a challenge the more he researched the figure, confessing he didn't realise just how complex his relationship with God was as depicted in several verses. Ridley reveals that he approached his version of 'Exodus' from a reality point of view, attempting to focus on the elements of the story that had truth to it.
