Rihanna’s poor health has seen her Boston gig cancelled. The singer was diagnosed with laryngitis, but her gig tomorrow in Baltimore should still go ahead as planned. The Boston date is to be rescheduled.

"Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," a statement from promoters Live Nation said. Perhaps RiRi has been working herself too hard, and that’s why she’s feeling the physical effects. And maybe that’s why she’s planning on taking a one-year sabbatical from the life of a pop star. "She's been in this go mode for a while. Seven hit records in seven years," Ryan Seacrest told the listeners of his radio show. "Sold-out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps, she plans to take up to a year off to unwind." If she does plan on taking this year off, then she might not be the one to headline the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury this year. "She is the perfect choice," said a source. "Beyonce stole the show two years ago and there's no reason why Rihanna can't do the same. She's got a huge back-catalogue and is undoubtedly the biggest female artist around at the moment bar Adele."
