The strangest point in Robert Downey Jr's former drugged-up life came when he was driving his Porsche naked through Los Angeles, trying to throw imaginary rats out of his car.
The movie star admits he can still remember the odd day when he felt the need to cleanse himself and his sportscar.
He says. "It was a blast. After the fact I realised they (the rats) were imaginary. (It was) very disconcerting.
"Cocaine psychosis - it's one of the things that happens. It's tough stuff."
The actor can also still remember the night he was arrested for breaking into a neighbour's house and passing out in her child's bedroom.
He adds, "These are common mistakes you make when you're struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction."
