Paula Patton, the actress wife of R&B singer Robin Thicke, has dismissed the claims made by a student that Thicke cheated on her. According to 20 year-old student socialite Lana Scolaro, she and Thicke got cosy at last month's VMA Awards afterparty and even kissed passionately. Scolaro also posted two photos of herself with Robin: one showing the NY socialite with her arm draped around a grinning Robin; the other showing the pair together, with the 'Blurred Lines' singer's hand clearly tightly gripping Lana's backside.

Twitter user "@JenLeadley" tweeted the photo to Paula with the caption "Look at the reflection girl," indicating the bum-grabbing that was reflected on to the cameras lens by mirrored walls in a snap that has now become viral as the world waited for Patton's response. A representative for the pair speaking to Life & Style magazine insists that Scolaro is just "an attention seeker" in a statement that read: "It's just a girl looking for some attention. Paula and Robin aren't concerned."


However, Scolaro has said that she travelled to the VMAs party in the same car as Thicke and Patton and he had spent all night over her whilst his wife wasn't very far away. "I was with him the whole night!...His hands were everywhere," Lana told the magazine. Scolaro claims that Robin didn't seem to care what his wife thought and even encouraged Lana to go and speak to Paula. "I went to the bathroom, and when I came out he was standing there," she explained.

She added "He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, "I want to get you into bed!"" According to Lana, things didn't go further because the pair kept getting interrupted. Instead, Robin gave her his number at told her he'd see her at New York Fashion week, having reportedly said "I just love the fact that you're so young."

Though the vicious rumour has been dismissed by the couple, who have been married for 17 years, eyebrows were definitely raised when the seemingly unambiguous photo surfaced online. Not to mention Robin's risqué performance with Miley Cyrus at the awards ceremony earlier in the evening - but that was just for show: could the photo have been too?

Speaking at his recent album launch on Wednesday (4th September), Thicke did nothing but reiterate his love and attraction for his wife, through his words and deeds. Photos from the evening show the pair doing plenty of touching, cuddling and embracing - perhaps to signal to the world that a student's stirring hasn't shaken the relationship that began when they were both in high school.
