Pop star Ronan Keating has completed a marathon swim across the Irish Sea for charity.
The Boyzone singer and his relay team, which included Olympic medallist swimmer Stephen Parry, touched land on a beach in Wicklow, Ireland on Thursday morning (01Sep11).
They began their 56-mile (90-kilometre) swim, in aid of Cancer Research UK and the Marie Keating Foundation, in Holyhead, Wales on Tuesday night (30Aug11).
Boyzone bandmate Keith Duffy was quick to applaud Keating on his accomplishment, 'tweeting', "Congratulations to ronan and all his team mates for swimming the Irish Sea for Cancer Research UK! An amazing achievement, well done."
