After giving birth, the 29 year-old actress and her newborn baby daughter, Rose, are both doing well.
One of Hollywood's hottest actresses has now become a first-time mother. Scarlett Johansson and her French fiancé Romain Dauriac welcomed a baby daughter into the world on Thursday (Sept 4th), and named her Rose Dorothy!

Johansson gave birth in New York City, and the newborn's middle name is apparently a homage to the actress's late grandmother, according to People magazine.

A spokesperson for the happy couple released a statement to the Associated Press, confirming the mother and child are doing well, and "the couple is seeking privacy and are supporters of the No Kids Policy, the celebrity effort to keep famous folks' children out of the public eye."
The 29 year-old star's pregnancy news broke this past March, which came only six months (Sept 2013) after Johansson announced that she and Dauriac, who is a French journalist, became engaged to be married. At the time, she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring at the Venice International Film Festival, and her rep confirmed that the couple are "engaged and very happy."
The pair went public with their romance in November 2012, but this past January, Johansson revealed wedding planning isn't on her agenda as of yet.

"I've never been a big planning kind of person," she said in an interview with Parade Magazine. "I'd never share it with anybody, but I think more than anything I feel really fortunate to have had this amazing year professionally." The 'Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff' actress also stated, marriage is one aspect of her life that she doesn't "feel like I need to rush," and will "let that happen organically."

Johansson isn't wrong in saying her year was "amazing," she has already appeared in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' 'Lucy,' and 'Chef,' and next year she'll star in the highly anticipated 'Avengers' sequel 'Age of Ultron.'
Marriage might not be on the cards just yet, but becoming a mother has always been a desire of Johansson's. Last December (2013), she told the Daily Mail, "I would like to have my own family, that would be nice. They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else."
Congratulations to the happy couple.
