It seems Sia has been on the receiving-end of some harsh backlash from fans after she chose not to attend Australia's ARIA Awards ceremony on Wednesday (Nov 26th), especially since she was prized with four awards, and got even more hate after apparently only recording one acceptance speech.

Sia took to Twitter to address why she missed the award ceremony

Fellow Australian, rapper Iggy Azalea was also absent from the award show, which led local media outlets to speculate whether some nominated stars thought they were "too cool" for the ARIAs.

However, Sia didn't feel as though she deserved to be criticised for missing the ceremony, so she therefore quickly took to Twitter to set the record straight.

"I made four thank you/acceptance videos for the arias. They chose to show one. I'm saddened to be getting shit for being a 'no-show'" she tweeted, and even revealed she is going to give all her four awards to her fans. "On the upside, I won! Who wants one? First four people to document doing a good deed, I'll send you an aria. GO!!!"

The 38 year-old recording artist was honoured with an award for Album of the Year with '1000 Forms of Fear,' as well as Best Pop Release, Best Video and Best Female Artist. Despite not being at the ceremony to collect her prizes, fellow singer Katy Perry was on hand to accept the Best Female Artist award on her behalf.

Azalea was also prized with Best Breakthrough Artist, which was collected by her 'Fancy' collaborator Charli XCX. "I'm going to drop it off to her and she's going to enjoy it," Charli XCX said.
