Take That are set to take a ride alongside James Corden for a very special edition of ‘Carpool Karaoke’, to air as part of this year’s Comic Relief Red Nose Day.

The British boyband have already filmed the skit with Corden in Los Angeles, and during a new interview with the Radio Times they spilled some secrets about how ‘Carpool Karaoke’ is actually filmed.

"It was an amazing experience filming,” band member Howard Donald told the magazine’s latest issue. “You don’t realise how much work goes into it.

"As soon as you get in the car you’ve got 30, 40 cameras pointing at you from different angles. You have to be sitting in a certain position. There’s a crew of about 25 people. You’re in convoy, and you’re driving around LA for almost three hours.”

Of course the biggest question about ‘Carpool Karaoke’ is, does Corden actually drive, or is he being towed around LA on a trailer? Fortunately Gary Barlow was willing to dish. “He doesn’t drive fast,” Barlow explained.

But while Corden is actually driving, he sticks to a certain route to ensure he doesn't get stuck in the LA traffic. “The trouble with LA is, there’s too many cars,” Barlow continued. “So there’s a circuit they do where the roads are quite clear, so you keeping moving.” 

The skit will air on Friday 24th March on BBC One, as part of an already star-studded Comic Relief line-up which also includes the long-awaited Love Actually mini-sequel and a ‘Smack the Pony’ reunion.
