Taylor Swift unveiled her new song ‘Red’ on Good Morning America today (October 1, 2012). It’s the title track from her album of the same name and deals with the sadness of heartbreak, featuring the lyrics “Losing him is blue, like I'd never known/ Missing him was dark grey, all alone/ Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met/ But loving him was red.” Taylor spoke to Good Morning America, on her Glamour magazine photo-shoot and told viewers “I wrote this song about the fact that some things are just hard to forget because the emotions involved with them were so intense and, to me, intense emotion is red.”

She had previously told MTV “Well, in terms of my album, it kind of signifies the intense, really bold emotions you feel when you're in kind of mad love," said. "And I think that all of the songs on the album are written about those kinds of experiences that I've had." The track ‘Red’ has a real country feel – more so than some of her poppier numbers. The album will be released on October 22, 2012.

Taylor was also asked to comment on the reports that she is dating Conor Kennedy. She remained guarded though and simply said “I don’t talk about my personal life in that great detail. I write about it all in my songs but when I get it in an interview… it’s not so much what I do.”
