Taylor Swift has offered to take a teenage fan to the Academy of Country Music (Acm) Awards in April (12) as her date because she won't be able to accept an invitation to his prom.
The sister of Kevin MCGuire, who is battling leukaemia, reached out to the Love Story singer on Facebook.com and asked her to be his date to the prom in New Jersey this spring (12) in an effort to bring a smile to the ailing 18 year old's face.
However, Swift, who can't make it, has an even better date planned.
In a post on her Facebook page, she writes, "I'm so sorry but I won't be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the Acm Awards are coming up. Would you be my date?"
