Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

The 23 year-old is known for expressing her feelings in her hit songs, but nearly every track is about one of her former relationships.

In a candid interview with New York Magazine, Nov 18th issue, she reveals why she draws inspiration from her personal life.

Taylor states, "allowing yourself to feel raw, real emotions in public is something I'm never going to be afraid to do."

But the misconception is that the Grammy Award winner just writes songs about every guy she has been on a date with, but Swift tells the mag they have to mean something to her.

"I only write songs about crazy love," she says. "If I go on two dates with a guy and we don't click, I'm not writing a song about that. It didn't matter in the emotional grand scheme of things. There's a lot that goes on in daily life that isn't really worth turning into a verse and a chorus."

Her ex's include John Meyer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry styles, but Swift reiterates that her honest and open nature is for her fans, she wants them to realise everything isn't always perfect.

"I'm fine with being honest with my fans about the fact that it's okay that everything isn't okay all the time. I love my life, I love my career, I love my friends-but things are not okay all the time. So I don't sing about things being okay all the time."

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer never reveals which song is about which ex, but she did comment on receiving "ranting, crazy e-mails.from this one dude," and how she shared a "love that was wonderful until it was terrible."

To who Taylor is referring to is up for much speculation and discussion, but the country singer may never reveal the truth.
