Taylor Swift has called her former boyfriend John Mayer "presumptious" for assuming that songs written by the country singer related to their past relationship. It's long been believed by Mayer that Swift's song Dear John is aimed at him. However, USA Today reports that Swift told print magazine Glamour "How presumptuous! I never disclose who my songs are about."

Swift then refused to discuss the issue further, or hear what Mayer had said about the song. "I know it wasn't good, so I don't want to know. I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can't handle." She said. Upon being asked if it would hurt too much for her to hear, Swift replied "It's not that I'm this egomaniac and I don't want to hear anything negative, because I do keep myself in check," explains Swift. "But I've never developed that thick a skin. So I just kind of live a life, and I let all the gossip live somewhere else. If you go too far down the rabbit hole of what people think about you, it can change everything about who you are."

It was a turbulent time with ladies man Mayer, but things seem to be going smoother for Swift in her new relationship with John F. Kennedy descendent Conor Kennedy.
