Taylor Swift is still country at heart as she opened the 'Taylor Swift Education Center' in Nashville on Saturday (0ct 12th).

The new $4 million facility is part of the 'Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum' in Music City.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer will also be collecting her record breaking 6th song-writing award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International on Sunday, which was announced on Tuesday 8th October.

Swift demonstrated her generosity before the facility was complete when the singer announced in May 2012 that she will donate $4million to the project.

The charitable chunk of money given away signals the singers success as it is estimated she has earned a total of $50 million a year for the last few years.

The 23 year-old was on hand to cut the red ribbon, marking its official opening and according to Fox News she said;

"I'm really excited about this music education center and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today,"

"It's really exciting that we can be here on a day when they're not only unveiling it, but they're starting to actively use it today," Swift added.

The state of the art education center consists of two floors that includes three classrooms and a 'learning lab' as well as a children's exhibit gallery.

The 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer also commented on returning to the facility in the near future.

"We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in," said Swift. "I hate to call it a lecture because that sounds like I'm yelling at people, but we could do a Q&A talking to students here and a songwriters discussion would be really fun to have at some point."
